I love this market whenever I am able to stop by. Such good finds at reasonable prices. They also offer a discount in the evening off their sushi and deli items. Clean and organized store too. Wish there was one closer!

Strawberries sandwiches, sake uni don were so good!!! Lots of snack, cookies selections. Loved their sushi n bento selection! Taiyaki & latte in the cafeteria was bad, dry dessert and no foam on the latte.

This is a better Mitsuwa for those who've been there. I am amazed with the sushi selection. They had poke bowls, sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri ready to eat. No to mention all the sandwiches and dessert options. I got a few of the sushi to try and it was delicious for the price. It didn't have a fishy smell to it so quality is there. The wagyu beef sandwich was really good as well. First time trying it and it didn't disappoint. The spam musubi (didn't purchase) had a very large rice to spam ratio. They also have a few food stalls but I didn't get to check this out. Will be back next time!

This review is purely for the pre-made food as that is typically what I come here for. I was needing something fish-related as it is Lenten season. So the decision was something at Osaka Marketplace like their sashimi or rolls. Parking here is a mess, but that's not due to this marketplace. The folks who planned this area just didn't plan for the massive amount of folks going here for all the different restaurants. But I luckily got a spot right in front as someone was just leaving. So don't come here if you're in a rush and it's during lunch or dinner time. Otherwise, just aim for times that isn't a meal time. There were a whole lot of items that I wanted to try out this time. Oh if you want premade food, enter the store, and turn left. They're basically in the fridged areas of the marketplace. I decided to pick up a Shrimp Katsu Sando which looked pretty fun. Then I picked up a sashimi plate and of course an obligatory California roll. The shrimp katsu sando was surprisingly good! Like, sleeper hit. For $7 it's not a bad option. The sashimi wasn't cut well but it was not bad for $24. I also noticed that the sashimi plate contained either all fish or one of the options was with octopus. I'm not a huge octopus fan as it's a bit too chewy for me at the moment. The California roll was standard for $6. Paying was a little confusing as all the registers were closed and only I was walking around the area when someone opened one of the registers. It wasn't long though. It was pretty quick when they saw me. I easily paid by touchless payment. Again, not a bad option if you really want something quick to eat, just beware of the parking and timing that you go.

In my personal opinion, I think Osaka is the best bigger Japanese market in the area to buy sashimi (Nijiya next in line, as well as Suruki). As for me, I don't quite like the flavor of sashimi like salmon, toro and etc from other places or that it'll smell more fishy...or that there's a lack in flavor. In this market, everything is very well organized, clean and employees have been very helpful in suggestions or assistance in finding an item. Parking can get a little hard to find in the lot as it's apart of a busy plaza, but it's never too hard to find a spot. I love perusing the cosmetic area next to the entrance where they have a lot of Le Creme products and other Japanese cosmetics/facial goods. Prices here are pretty reasonable for fresh veggies and other products, understandable that other import items are on the pricey end. On the other side of the entrance, it leads to a food court area where you can order fresh meals to eat there or to take home. There's also pre-made meals available, from bento boxes to egg salad sandos. Towards the back left corner of the market is where there's sashimi all nicely packaged, nigiri/sashimi combos and rolls available to grab. I'm not too sure but it's after 5 or 7pm that pre-made food items go on sale for 20% off. Next to the pre-made meals, there's also items from Anderson Bakery and mochi/dango to grab. This market basically has all the Japanese staples that you'll need (including cookware/houseware). Yes...prices aren't the cheapest, but it's not too out there. From fresh sliced shabu shabu meat to veggies and fruits, there's something for everyone. There's also a pretty decent drink selection to try from as well as a good alcohol selection. Final Thoughts: There's also now a new membership program that has rolled out. The rewards rule is $1 = 1 point and 1 point = $.01 to redeem in the future. It is completely free to sign up and you can pick up the membership card in the store. There will be savings in store for members and additional coupons/promotional offers and etc. in the email. For me, I think I can just go on and on about this market as it has become a staple stop for my groceries and other items.

Osaka Marketplace opened in vacated 99 Ranch store. Store jam packed with goodies. Check out is quick. As lines get long, more cashiers are called. Parking is difficult on weekends & peak times. Food court offerings: sushi, udon, mochi donuts, curry plates, donburis, bento box, coffee, chicken karaage... Departments: fresh meats/seafood, groceries, produce, beauty products, cakes, mochi, pastries, sushi/sashimi packs to go. Buys: "house" curry sauce, mild (2.49) -ready to use, mild. Had carrots, potato, veggies Slightly watery. Nothing special Menraku spicy seame ramen (2.69) -broth msg enhanced, slightly spicy, noodles typical Instant noodle quality. Raoh Unami Miso ramen (2.49) -nonfried noodles elevated noods to restaurant quality -miso broth very tasty, has mucho additives, veggie flavor extracts. Worthy! Repeatable! 4.5 stars: top quality products, reasonable pricing, quik check-out. Parking issues main negative.

Highly recommend this Japanese grocer! A very well stocked marketplace with produce, butcher, fish, frozen food, bakery, liquor, houseware, and pantry items. Everything you need for cooking Japanese (or other Asian) cuisine. The meat and fish are really fresh here. It's a great place to get sushi platters or fresh sliced meat for sukiyaki or shabu shabu (aka hot pot). Some items are more expensive than other Asian grocery stores. The space is older but very well kept. Some cute decorations, including cashier area where each lane is named after a different Japanese street.

I am so glad I found this place while looking for to-go sushi. I love being able to look at the options in front of me and picking what looks good. I also liked that they have so many different types of plates. You'll definitely ring up a tab if you go here with an appetite. I got 7-8 different rolls, a chicken katsu/bbq plate, mochi donuts, other grocery items and even alcohol and a T-shirt. We spent close to $200 here. I was also impressed that they have a beauty area with Asian beauty products. The customer service is also great -- the staff there is so nice and helpful. The store has so many options and wasn't too crowded. I'll definitely be back.
